Massage Therapists are natural healers, and so are aromatherapists. One of the many features we love about our chosen profession, massage therapy, is that it overlaps with other healing modalities. We, as massage therapists, can introduce essential oils, and their safe and practical uses, to our clients, friends, and families. In this workshop, we will develop familiarity with specific essential oils, but, perhaps even more importantly, with their simple and everyday applications.

In this 2 day workshop at Downeast School of Massage
• you will be introduced to approximately 50 oils,
• you will be encouraged to catalog your responses to them,
• you will be instructed as to the preparation of your own customized
products, and
• you will be individually supported in your intuitive and intellectual
decisions as you explore the essential oils of plants.
The products we make together will have direct application in your healing environments, and also in your home. The knowledge you gain will work as a stepping off point for more exploration of the topic of the medicinal use of aromatic plant distillates, and will include suggestions for reading material, and educational programs.
Also, essential oils used in class are included in the cost of the weekend, and some oils will be available for sale, at a 10% discount. So please consider the fun of learning, and the value of noses-on experience. Your sense of smell will be pleased and enhanced.
Prerequisites: Anyone can attend!
Kate Leigh has been a practicing massage therapist for 27 years, and an aromatherapist for even longer. Her passion is plants, particularly their medicinal values. Kate will share her broad-based knowledge of globally distilled essential oils with the group, and will honor your prior experience, and welcome your questions.
