Mana Lomi® uses specific and precise clinical lomi lomi techniques. Being both clinically focused yet also spiritually grounded, this problem solving oriented Hawaiian bodywork feels wonderful to receive. Depth on multiple levels is obtained by channeling physical weight as well as mana (healing energy) though soft palms. With special attention to bones, breath and circulation, Mana Lomi® is substantial and feels full and deep yet also gentle.
The techniques learned in all Mana Lomi® workshops can effectively be used by massage therapists working in either a spa or medical environment. Mana Lomi® supports both deep relaxation as well as injury prevention and recovery. We constantly assess our client's tissue seeking specific ways to relieve pain and release restrictions on many levels. Mana Lomi® gives immediate and long term results.
Mana Lomi® hands-on techniques overlap with those used in other modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, Thai, shiatsu and many others. This makes Mana Lomi® easy for practitioners experienced in other styles to learn. However, the techniques are done in a unique, simple, careful, specific, precise and intentional way.
Potentially complex clinical thinking is presented in a simple manner, making Mana Lomi® easily learned by massage therapists who may have shied away from clinical work in the past. Mana Lomi® is a highly effective healing modality both for newly licensed massage therapists and also for experienced therapists who would like to revitalize their practice and improve the sensitivity of their touch while doing massage that feels good in their own body.
In addition, Mana Lomi® is also fabulous healing work for therapists who have a spiritual focus to their work. Lomilomi symbolically means to connect deep within the bones of the individual and thus with the soul of the person. Done with correct understanding, Mana Lomi® is bone deep. Mana Lomi® workshops teach not only hands on lomi lomi techniques. Each participant leaves with a positive life transformational experience. We offer the experience of being connected with each other and with our planet.
Join us to have fun as we learn to work deeply with minimal wear and tear on our own bodies!
